We survived our first week of preschool!!! And I am exhausted! haha.

Hudson only goes to preschool 3 days a week for a couple of hours. And I miss him the whole time, but he is doing soooooo good. I am actually shocked at how well he has handled it and how much he LOVES it. For a while there, it was rough when we would even talk about it.

His first day was probably one of the best days we both have had. I put together a little back to school breakfast for him to get him excited (saved on my stories highlights) and he was so happy!

When we arrived, he wanted me at first to go and play with him on the playground, but I had to let him go on his own. He immediately went for the sand toys and just played. He is still very much shy, but by day three you could tell he was warming up. Of course, when they started to line up to go inside, I started to cry (thank God for big sunglasses). I walked over to him and said my goodbyes and as I was walking away he yelled "I love you mom!" and then I just lost it!

I didn't want him to see me cry, so I really tried to pull it together, and as they were walking in, he waved to him, and just had this confidence and it made me feel so much better. But I did cry for another 30 minutes.

Everyday when I pick him up, he has the biggest smile on his face and just so happy to see me and it melts my heart! The first day I took him to Chuck E Cheese so he could tell me all about his day. He went on and on and I loved hearing all about his day. His favorite thing is what they had for snack time.

Because we live about 30 minutes away from his preschool, and it's really on a couple of hours, I usually go run errands or there is a starbucks across the street so I try and go and catch up on work. On Wednesday I went and got my nails done, and I was like "wow this is different."

I had been preparing Hudson for over a year and I am so thankful that this transition was so graceful and He is having a blast!
