Happy 2019!!!!

Hope you had a fun New Year celebration! Cheers to the first blog post of 2019. I have a lot of goals for this year and I am truly putting all my faith in each one of them. Some big and some so simple.

1. Be in the moment: My brain is truly a computer with about 100 tabs open. Although, I feel like I am pretty good at managing it all, I have to realize I am not super women and it's okay if dishes are left in the sink or my floors haven't been mopped. I would much rather have stuff piling up and be playing on the floor with Hudson. Hudson starts preschool in August and it is really hitting me and to be completely honest with you...if I really think about it, I start to panic. But this is where I know I have to rely on God and trust him with my Hudson and just enjoy all my moments with him.

2. Embracing my weaknesses. I am human and a female. We are much harder on ourselves and we ALL struggle with insecurities. I am a perfectionist and tend to be really hard on myself, but motherhood the last three years has helped balance me out a bit, but we all struggle with comparison. It is the thief of all joy, and I have let it rob me of my joy. Really working on keeping my joy in 2019.

3. Growth. Pretty much in ALL areas of my life. Grow as a wife, mother, blogger, etc.... Not really sure what this looks like, but I know I need to start with me and doing me and everything else with follow.

4. Focusing on the main thing. I guess this kind of goes with #1, but I really want to be focused on where I am at, at the moment. If I'm with Hudson, being there 100%. If I am working on blog posts or  emails, being there 100%. I can't tell you have many times, I am overlooked details in an email, because I was busy trying to clean or play with Hudson at the same time. Then it ends up making more work and stress for me.

5. Drink more water. You would think with living in the AZ triple digit heat (although it is freezing here at the moment) I would be a pro, but I am really trying to make a conscious effort to do this. My Cori Clark planner helps me keep track!

6. Travel More. This may be so easy for most. But for me, flying anywhere really gives me anxiety! I am totally fine driving out of town (I did travel to LA last year with Hudson by myself!), but going far distances and places I have never been is REALLY is out of comfort zone. However, those are amazing memories waiting to be created and I don't want to miss out on making those with Hudson. So my husband and I are really planning out our year and destinations to travel to and really making an effort to make it happen.

7. Letting go of mom guilt. We all struggle with it. We can do anything, but not everything. And that's okay.

8. Continue waking up early. All of this got messed up when Hudson and I were sick and then the holidays came. But, I love waking up early before Hudson to get some work done, work-out and even shower! It really makes a difference in my day.

I will end it here before it becomes a novel. But I wanted to share with you. I love to hear everyones New Year goals and visions for themselves.

Finally, let's talk about this velvet puffer jacket! I have a thing for puffer jackets right now and it has been freezing her in AZ which is very unusual. But I love it and gives me an excuse to wear this jacket on repeat. It's a pretty gold color (also comes in navy and burgundy) and only $36!

Wishing you all the love and blessings this year!
