I thought it would be fun to share with you a little about what Easter looks like in our family. When we were growing up, my mom always hid our Easter baskets and we had to go find them on Easter morning. Then from there we would hunt for Easter eggs and we just didn't have any Easter eggs. We had the good ones. The good ones that didn't have candy, but money! Some just had loose change while others and bills up to twenty dollars. And those were hidden real good. Like in the egg wreath that hung on the door. My brothers would always find those. Then we would have breakfast and then get into our favorite outfits of the year (well for me it was) and head to church. I remember sometimes we would go to a 6am sunrise Easter service. Ya...
After church we would have our big Easter feast with all of our family.

Easter also holds an extra special place in my heart, because it was the day before Easter two years ago we found out we were HAVING A BOY! It just made is all the more real and I remember just waking up on Easter with a feeling I will never forget. Plus I went crazy shopping getting boy stuff for the nursery and got to score all the Easter deals too :)

I am excited to carry on these traditions with Hudson. It should be fun trying to explain to him to go find his basket somewhere in the house. Then we will do a small egg hunt with Hudson with some baseball and football Easter eggs I found. Hudson will love it! After church we will head to my parents house and have Easter dinner and do the money egg hunt with all the cousins.

The hubby and I decided to have a date night and then went shopping for stuff to put in Hudson's basket.  I have been eyeing that dump truck for Hudson for some time and my mom went ahead and got it for Hudson for Easter. I can't wait to see his face when he sees it.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter and enjoy this time with family.
